This time we get to know Hellen Modiba, initiator of @creating_through_journaling from Munich. Thank you so much dear Hellen for your time and your inspiring answers! Enjoy!
1. Which situation or book changed your perspective on life?
I had been experiencing major crossroads situations. The Book that made me aware of my inner processing of such situations is “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle, which I had received as a gift 4 years prior to actually reading it! One day I just reached for it. I think I was ready for it by then. All my inner dialogues and observations felt recognized. It inspired me to question and shift a lot from old beliefs.
2. Which 3 words are most powerful for you and why?
Love – Surges of love in random moments, places, connections, and when in the flow of “working” makes life worth every step.
Freedom – To seek and express myself in ways that my heart calls for.
Belonging – Being surrounded by people who feel safe, are accepting, share the same values, and can express and receive love.
3. What is your mental timeout?
Long baths. I take them quite often. That’s where the magic of effortlessly connecting dots happens. I sometimes need to sketch out plans or journal afterwards. Or I just fall asleep, tired like a baby.
4. What does seek more than just success mean to you?
It means getting to define for myself what success is, and seeking ways to enjoy and align my path towards achieving it with the three powerful words I mentioned: Love, Freedom and Belonging. It also means having an awareness and respect for how my path towards success affects everything it touches.
